Raised on the iconic adventures from J.R.R. Tolkien, our client wanted a mural that would transform her custom built playroom (lovingly coined, The Hobbit House) into a fantastical space that would serve as an escape for all her grandchildren, and create a sense of a cozy escape.

Furthermore, she wanted the design to be whimsical and imaginative, while still feeling timeless enough that as the kids age, they still can connect with the illustrations.

We chose to accomplish this with a more mature color palette, and illustrations that had just a touch of magic (all hail the mythical Shire Stag!). Hidden throughout the mural are all the names of her grandchildren as the finishing touch of personalization to this piece.
